Anime Knits

For those of you who may be interested in Anime themed knitting projects...here is a cool hat with ears. This is not a beginner project, but if you have some knitting experience, or want to get some, sign up for Knit and Stitch and I'll give you a hand with it.

A fairly complicated start to what looks like a good series. I saw the Anime version on Saturday, and it changed a few things. I think I liked it better.

Knit and Stitch is Coming!

Do you need a new hobby? Want to get together with some friends, and create some really cool stuff? Join us for Knit and Stitch, our new knitting club for teens and tweens. Students, ages 10 and up are welcome to join us starting October 20 at 3:30 PM. At our first meeting we will make our own knitting needles and begin learning to knit. If you already know how to knit or crochet, bring your latest project along and join the fun. At this program, we will choose a time for weekly meetings, and discuss future projects.

Registration begins October 6. Call or stop by the library to sign up.

You can make an accessory for yourself, a really creative present for someone else, or work together to create an afghan to donate to charity. The possibilities are endless. Here are a few ideas!

A simple scarf

An easy bag

A quick cell phone tote

Anime Club

Don't forget Anime Club is this weekend. We will be screening XXXholic on Saturday, September 27th at 2:00 PM. Anyone is welcome. Students under the age of 16 must turn in a permission slip or be accompanied by an adult. Want to check it out before the meeting?
