Book Reviews

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Review by Tori
Celea and Marco, after training in different areas of magic, face each other in a compilation to see who's kind of magic will win. But when they fall in love the plot further complicates. My favorite character is Celea, Marco and nearly all the characters because the author makes characters very likable and interesting. I loved this book because it was interesting and the audiobook is awesome because it is narrated by Jim Dale.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
Review by Paige
Lina wants to be an artist, but she, her family, and other people were taken to Siberia. Her father is separated from her family, and she has to make drawings to show him the way to them. I liked this book because it was sad but was entertaining. You should read this book because the story was definitely a page turner.

Book Bites Reviews

Caught by Margaret Peterson Haddix
Review by Libby
This book is about time travel. These two kids travel to the 20th century. They "stalk" Albert Einstein and his wife. They find out his daughter is a missing child of history that has been taken to the 21st century to grow up and she comes back to the 20th century to temporarily shift into her baby form to die (she's sick). Mileva then finds out about time travel and for 60 years she watched her family's life like a move. She was in a time hollow. Time doesn't exist in time hollows. An exampis she was pregnant and 60 years later isn't anymore. She tries to get her 13 year old daughter and husband to meet but time is preventing it. Right before he sees his daughter, Emily, time freezes to prevent it. Then Mileva understands she must choose between Albert and Emily. She ends up choosing Albert and living out a full life with 2 other sons but Emily died as a baby but lived as a teen. When Albert is an hour from death she explains everything and he dies happy. The 2 kids then go back to the 21st century where time has resumed (it was frozen) and they sneak back into class. I like this book because it was just amazing and I read ti in a day and I couldn't put it down. It's just an amazing. You should read this book because it very much resembles Dr. Who and it is very interesting and full of action and it's just great.

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey
Review by Tori
Almost everyone on Earth has been wiped out by aliens in waves of destruction. The book begins with Cassie's group taking refuge in an abandoned hotel. But with winter coming and no sign of Evan Walker, they are starting to lose hope. My favorite character is Zombie because I like the name and he is a noble character. Cassie Sullivan because she is sarcastic, and Ringer because she is awesome, strong and likes chess. I loved this book because the writing is great, it's a page turner, and the story is interesting.
