Book Bites Reviews

The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Review by Tori
In a country where women have no right and are treated like cattle, Offred lives in a world of ghosts and nightmares where she struggles through each day. Trying to find hope. I loved this book because the plot, story and overall writing is great. Can't put it down.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Review by Paige
Catniss Everdeen gets picked for the reaping and has to fight in the arena. My favorite character is Catniss because she is a strong character. I liked this book because it was very action packed.

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Review by Hannah
In a post-apocalyptic Chicago, a community is split into 5 different factions, Dauntless (brave), Amity (happy), Abnegation (selflessness), Erudite (curiosity/knowledge), and Candor (honesty). Each 16 year old must pick a faction to live in for the rest of their lives and Beatrice is Divergent, meaning she can fit into more than one faction. She ends up picking Dauntless and trying to stop a revolution that was begun by the Erudite.
